Tomorrow is the beginning of something big. Either I will be a finalist to become Mamavation Mom, or I won’t. Regardless, it’s the beginning of a new facet of my journey.

Over the past 7 months, I’ve followed the Spark People model for losing weight. I’ve made small changes, and concentrated on making those changes a habit. My dependency on soda, fast food, overeating, and under-exercising was broken. I replaced those habits with new ones: water (SO much freakin’ water), FREGGIES, and 10+ minute exercise streaks. Brutal honesty with myself was needed. Those little lies (ok, and some big lies too) are a big reason I never thought I was worth the effort to live healthy. Now it’s time to take that honesty to the next level….

My journey is going public! Just how public? I’m really going to expose the nitty-gritty of transforming my body from a hot flabby mess, to something much more healthy and lean. Pictures of my blood, sweat and tears, meals, fat rolls, blisters….whatever it takes. Being totally open makes me accountable for my actions (or in-action). It also does not allow for failure, and the only failure that I can see is quitting. No quitting. No mercy. The Mamavation platform (let’s be honest, it’s more like a megaphone) is the ultimate in transparency. It allows me a captive audience to share my struggles, triumphs, and the REAL truth in my journey.

So, my first truth is to show you all what my body looks like RIGHT NOW! You can officially say you’ve seen my “BEFORE”!

*having some problems inserting my photos. stay tuned!*

Victories For the Upcoming Week:

–Attend as many Spark People Live! classes that I possibly can. Giving and receiving support is so crucial when making changes in life.

— Focus on my Spark Streaks! (water, 60+ fitness minutes daily, good food choices)

–Blog it out! I’m feeling a lot now. Good, bad and ugly, I need to get it out of me so I cannot use it as an excuse to make poor decisions

–Stay small (little choices make BIG results)

–Keep on reading the Mamavation forums. There is a lot of inspiration there.

Above all else, focus on my daily affirmations:

I am worth the hard work.

I can do anything I put my mind to.

Making the choices I’ve always made will keep me where I’ve always been.

Be bold.

BE BRAVE!
